Yes. The 9mm PET felt holds push pins, sewing pins, and thumbtacks, which is why customers use Square Tile walls as quilt design walls, sewing room boards, classroom displays, and office pin boards. Pin holes close up in the felt when you pull the pin out. For anything with real weight, such as a shelf or a framed piece, anchor into the wall behind the tile.

Felt Right tiles are an excellent option for wall protection. Our dense PET felt surface helps safeguard walls from scuffs, bumps, bags, backpacks, chairs, and everyday wea, especially in high-traffic areas like hallways, classrooms, gyms, and offices.

They are not meant to replace structural protection but do an excellent job keeping walls clean and new. If one tile does get damaged, you can easily replace it. Please email support@feltright.com to double check that the color will match your previous order as our felt is dyed in batches and may not match an old order.

These tiles can easily be installed in three simple steps:

1. Prep Your Wall

Clean and dry surface
Lay out your design on the floor first

2. Stick Tabs to Tiles

Place adhesive tabs on the back (corners + center)
Press firmly to activate

3. Press & Align on Wall

Start from center or straight edge
Press firmly on each corner
Check alignment as you go

Adhesive Removal Disclaimer: While our default adhesive tabs are designed to be removable, removal results may vary. In some cases, tabs may be more difficult to remove or may cause minor damage to paint or wall finishes. Factors such as room temperature, prolonged sun exposure, wall material, surface texture, paint type, paint condition, and the length of time installed can affect adhesive performance. We recommend testing a tab in an inconspicuous area before completing your installation and following all removal instructions carefully.

To get the most out of your installation:

  • Place panels on walls that face other hard, parallel surfaces. This helps break up sound waves that would otherwise bounce back and forth
  • Install panels near sound sources, such as workstations, speakers, or collaborative zones

Positioning tiles with these tips in mind helps capture sound at the point of origin and prevents long reverberation paths.

To remove your Felt Right wall design:

  1. Gently lift each tile from the corners, pulling away from the wall slowly.
  2. Roll off adhesive tabs using your fingers or a soft eraser, starting from one edge to minimize paint damage.

Routine Cleaning:

  • Use a vacuum hose attachment to remove dust and lint.
  • A lint roller can also work for quick surface touch-ups.

Spot Cleaning:

  • Wipe with a damp cloth.
  • For more stubborn marks, spray with a common household cleaner and gently wipe down.
  • Avoid oversaturation to preserve the felt's integrity.

Disinfection (Commercial Environments)

  • Tiles can be disinfected using multi-surface cleaning sprays or non-abrasive disinfectant wipes.
  • Ideal for schools, offices, and shared workspaces.
