Each pack of two panels helps soften sound reflections and reduce echo within a room. The felt backing supports sound absorption, improving comfort in spaces with hard surfaces such as living areas, offices, and shared environments.

While not designed to block sound between rooms, they improve how a space feels by reducing reflected noise and enhancing overall clarity.

Design & Material

Wood slat panels create a clean, linear look that adds depth and architectural structure to walls. The slatted design introduces visual rhythm and direction, helping define feature walls without overwhelming the space.

Each panel combines real wood veneer with acoustic felt backing, balancing natural aesthetics with functional performance across a range of finish options.

Modular & Easy to Install

Panels install as part of a modular system, allowing layouts to scale, adjust, or expand over time. This makes it easy to create full feature walls or smaller accent sections depending on your space.

Panels align seamlessly when installed side-by-side, supporting consistent spacing and a clean finished look.

Installing Felt Right Wood Slat Panels

Wood Slat Wall panels can be installed using black screws for black felt or zinc/gold screws for Latte felt.

We suggest using a minimum of 6 screws per panel: 2 spaced horizontally (7.5” apart) and 3 spaced vertically (31.5” apart)

If you choose to install our wall panels on the ceiling, be sure to anchor into the ceiling joists. Please note, we have a wood ceiling option if you have a drop ceiling/ACT grid.

Care and Maintenance

For best results, consider applying a protective finish to the tiles. Wood Oil is a great option, as it maintains the natural appearance and texture of the wood. After applying, a light dusting or vacuuming will help prevent dust accumulation. If you prefer not to use a finish, just wipe the panels with a dry cloth to keep them clean.

Can I Cut Wood Slat Panels in the Field?

Yes! Our panels can be trimmed to fit outlets, sprinklers, and custom dimensions.

  • Width Cuts: Use a circular saw to cut through MDF, then a utility knife for felt
  • Length Cuts: Use a utility knife with multiple passes
  • Internal Cuts: Use tape to mark your area, a hole saw to create a starting point, then a jigsaw to finish

Color Consistency: Our MDF and PET felt are color-matched throughout, so cut edges won’t require painting.

How Are Felt Right Wood Slat Panels Packaged?

  • Wall Panels: Shipped in boxes with two panels (each 94.5” x 12.6”) and protective corner guards
  • Ceiling Panels: Shipped in 2’ x 2’ corrugated boxes with protective corner guards
  • Large Orders: Shipped via freight on pallets when necessary

Note: Freight deliveries to residential addresses or those requiring a liftgate may include a surcharge.

Do I Need to Apply Wood Oil?

Applying wood oil is not required. However, for enhanced color depth and warmth, you may apply a thin layer of clear wood oil — just avoid oversaturating the surface.

The Acoustic Wood Slat Wall Panel is available in four finishes: Oak/Black, Oak/Latte, Walnut/Black, and Teak/Black. Each order contains two panels measuring 12.6 in x 94.49 in, shipped with protective corner guards. Preset coverage options cover an 8 ft x 4 ft, 8 ft x 8 ft, or 8 ft x 12 ft wall, and the calculator on the page will size a custom run for you.

Wood slat wall panels carry a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 0.55, so the panel absorbs about 55 percent of the sound that reaches it. That reduces echo and excess noise in a room while adding a warm architectural finish. For higher absorption overhead, our wood slat ceiling panels reach NRC 0.85.

Wood slat wall panels mount with screws, in black for black felt or zinc and gold for Latte felt. We suggest a minimum of six screws per panel, with two spaced horizontally at 7.5 in and three spaced vertically at 31.5 in. Construction grade adhesive can be used alongside the screws for a seamless application. If you install wall panels on a ceiling, anchor into the ceiling joists. For a drop ceiling or ACT grid, use our wood slat ceiling panels, which are built for that application.

  • A tape measure, a level, and a pencil for layout.
  • An electric screwdriver for mounting.
  • A circular saw or crosscut saw for trimming length.
  • A utility knife for trimming felt or panel width.

For internal cuts, tape off the area, use a hole saw to create a starting point, then finish with a jigsaw. The MDF and PET felt are color matched throughout, so cut edges do not need painting. We recommend field cutting only if you are comfortable with these tools.

  • Dust regularly with a soft cloth or a feather duster.
  • Use a vacuum with a brush attachment for deeper cleaning between the slats.
  • Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth for dirt or smudges, and avoid excess moisture or wet cleaning.

With regular dusting and occasional touch ups, the panels will hold their tone and finish for years.
