Installing Felt Right Room Dividers
Installation Video
What's Included
Each order comes with everything you need: cables, mounting hardware, panel grippers, anchors, screws, and an Allen wrench.
Ceiling Setup
Mark and pre-drill two mounting points spaced 47.25 inches apart. Install anchors and base hardware, then assemble and attach the cable components to the ceiling mounts.
Hanging Your Panel
Attach the panel grippers to the six pre-drilled holes on each side of the panel. Thread the cables through the grippers, position the panel at your desired height, and tighten to secure.
Final Adjustments
Run the cables down to the floor hardware, pull out any slack, and set your desired tension. Trim excess cable, lock everything down with the Allen screws, and you're done. For multiple panels side by side, use dual-sided grippers to share one cable between two dividers.

Do both room divider types offer the same acoustic performance?
They do. Suspended and anchored dividers both have an NRC of 0.55, absorbing 55 percent of the sound that hits them. What actually separates the two is form, not function: suspended dividers hang free of the floor, while anchored dividers have cables that run floor to ceiling giving a more architectural presence. Pick based on your ceiling, floor space, and design style, then run the Acoustics Calculator to figure out how many dividers you need.
What's the difference between the flat suspended divider and the modular suspended divider?
Less than you'd think, it mostly comes down to how it ships. Both hang from the same cable suspension hardware and carry the same 0.55 NRC. The flat version ships in one seamless piece via freight, while the modular version ships in three snap-together panels that qualify for standard ground delivery, with visible seams where the panels meet. Choose modular on a standalone order to save on freight, choose flat if freight's already happening for other items or you’re ordering multiple flat dividers.
Can I install a floor-to-ceiling divider under a drop-grid ceiling?
Not quite, anchored dividers need a flat drywall surface at the top, and drop-grid (ACT) ceilings are not substantial enough for the anchored divider hardware. Suspended dividers are available with hardware for either flat drywall or ACT ceilings. Take a quick look at what ceiling type you have to decide which divider system works best for you.
Which type makes sense for a leased office or a space I might have to leave?
Both work well in a lease, since neither one requires permanent construction. Suspended dividers have simple reconfigurable install options with ACT clips or flat ceiling anchors, with two mounting points for either option. Anchored dividers take more install effort, but they're worth it for a more architectural look and substantial feel.Neither install is permanent, its more about what look you want and the ceiling type of your space.
