Made in the USA, every Felt Right tile is composed of approximately 50% recycled plastic — primarily single-use water bottles — broken down and sterilized without harmful chemicals. The fibers are dyed, felted, and precision-cut into a variety of sizes and shapes to support creative wall treatments for homes, offices, classrooms, and commercial interiors. Are Felt Right Tiles Made from Recycled Materials?

Yes. Felt Right tiles are made from 100% PET plastic, with at least 50% post-consumer content reclaimed from discarded water bottles. Each 12" x 12" tile helps divert approximately 4 water bottles from landfills, turning waste into beautiful, sound-absorbing design.

How Effective Are Felt Right Tiles at Reducing Noise?

Felt Right tiles have a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.35, meaning they absorb approximately 35% of the sound that hits them. When installed across a significant portion of your wall, they can greatly reduce echo, soften harsh acoustics, and create a more comfortable listening environment. For even greater sound absorption, Felt Right also offers a range of high-performance acoustic solutions beyond wall tiles. Our ceiling baffles come in three styles, each with a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) ranging from 0.65 to 0.80. For maximum acoustic performance, our Wood Slat Ceiling Panels deliver an impressive NRC of 0.85. What Tools are Required to Install My Felt Right Tiles?

Felt Right tiles are easily installed with a tape measure, a level, and a pencil. Simply orient your first few tiles and then build out your design from there. Most designs can be installed in less than an hour! You can watch an installation video here.

Are Adhesive Tabs Included With My Order?

Yes! Every Felt Right order includes removable adhesive tabs for quick and easy wall installation, plus a few extras just in case. Installing in high-traffic areas, on textured walls, or ceilings? For commercial customers with larger, permanent or overhead applications we strongly recommend installers use a construction adhesive like Liquid Nails, Heavy Duty Loctite, or Dynagrip in addition to Felt Right adhesive tabs or hot glue in order to achieve a secure bond. Yes! Our tiles are not only decorative and sound-absorbing — they’re also functional and pinnable. You can easily pin: Photos, notes, and lightweight papers using push pins Quilting patterns and sewing templates for creative walls We recommend using commercial-grade adhesive tabs if you will be pinning multiple objects on each tile. For heavier items like picture frames, TVs, or mirrors, we recommend either: Cutting the tile around the mounted item Using a nail or screw long enough to anchor through both the 9mm tile and drywall Need a visual example?
